On July 8, 2021, the Commission submitted to the AOPC its formal comments on the proposed amendments to Act 172’s interpreter regulations and compensation schedules. The Commission’s comments supported strengthening language access and implementing changes responsive to the hard work interpreters have performed for our Commonwealth, both on-site and remotely. The finalized version of the regulations, which reflect several of the Commission’s suggestions, were published in November 2021 and will take effect on January 1, 2022.
