Via press release on Monday, April 7, 2025, the Commission celebrated the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania’s landmark ruling in Glover v. Junior, issued on March 20, 2025, which supports a legal recognition of parentage based on the clear intent to bring a child into the world.
The ruling offers much-needed clarity, ensuring that families formed through assisted reproductive technology (ART), including LGBTQ+ families, are on equal footing with families who conceive unassisted. By recognizing that inent – not just biology or traditional structures – can define parenthood, the Court protects children and affirms the dignity of all familes in Pennsylvania.
The Commission is honored to have supported this landmark ruling!
