On August 17, 2022, Commission staff distributed copies of its guide, entitled A Curriculum for our Times: Anti-Bias Programming for Law Students and Law Faculty, to the American Bar Association and law schools and bar associations across the Commonwealth. The guide, produced with the assistance of a Pittsburgh-based graphics designer, details the broad range of innovative courses, trainings, and programs that Pennsylvania law schools have incorporated into their curricula in response to national calls to address implicit bias and racial inequities in our justice system. The guide was the result of numerous meetings convened by the Commission’s Implicit Bias in Legal Education Work Group, comprised of deans and administrators from each of Pennsylvania’s law schools who generously shared their school’s respective programming.
